On a glorious warm November day Montane Ambassador and director of Tracks and Trails, Julia Tregaskis-Allen, caught our partner Montane at the 2018 Kendal Mountain Film Festival.

#mymontane Share your story and you could win £150 of Montane kit! Every month Montane select one winner from entrants of all walks of life. To enter all you have to do is have an outdoor story to tell. It can be anything from; first summits to personal goals, celebrating a summit, enjoying a slog or relieved one is over! Can we make Decembers winner a Tracks and Trails entrant?

It was great to spend time with the Montane Team to discuss new kit, clothing and ventures for winter and summer 2019.

We were reviewing the 2019 winter line including the new Thermoplume collection which was recently launched. We love the Icarus and Phoenix down Jackets! These great mountain all-rounders are really lightweight but don't compromise in durability and stay warm even in wet conditions. Also on the agenda were their extensive glove range. Gloves are like skis in our mind you can never have too many pairs! As guides we look for comfort, warmth and dexterity as our key features when choosing gloves. As when we are working or out on our own adventures in snow, ice, wind or rain even the most simple tasks can be problematic.

Montane have also just launched their 'New Isn't Always Better' service. As part of their 'Further Faster' branding they are now offering a new in-house repair service to restore any previously bought Montane products which may have become damaged. Montane products are guaranteed for their lifetime against any faults in workmanship and materials but now available on a variety of products damage from wear and tear, including stitching repairs, replacement of panels and retaping of seams can be arranged.

Announnced to our newsletter readers in October Montane has made a special deal available to our clients. We are pleased to be able to offer a 20% discount code on purchases via the Montane website. We understand that some readers struggled to make use of this deal days after we a released the code (we think we over loaded their system with orders!) but we wanted to let you know that their marketing team has assured us that this is now working fine. If you do have any trouble with please let us know. They are currently also offering free express delivery on all orders. So it’s a great time to treat yourself or buy Christmas presents. Please note that this is a Montane website-only deal, and it's not available in-store or on any other website.
